The new Shellharbour Hospital is on track to open in 2027, bringing expanded health services closer to home for Tullimbar families.

The eight-storey hospital will feature an expanded emergency department, surgical services, a dedicated paediatric assessment unit, maternity care, mental health, rehabilitation, aged care and renal dialysis services.

It will also include a rooftop helipad, around 1,000 parking spaces and the 15,000sqm Geera Garden, designed in collaboration with local Aboriginal community groups.

Would you like to reduce your energy bills? Shellharbour City Council's Sustainability Rebates Program is back, helping households and small businesses save on energy efficient upgrades while creating more comfortable homes.

Eligible residents can receive rebates of up to $250 for upgrades such as solar panels, batteries, insulation, heat pump hot water systems, electric vehicle chargers, induction cooktops and more. Small businesses may be eligible for rebates of up to $500 with applications open until 30 June 2027 or until funding is exhausted.

The Yellow Rock Road upgrade is now approaching 50 per cent completion, marking another major milestone for this important infrastructure project supporting the growing Tullimbar community. Major drainage and utility works have now been completed, with the upgraded road beginning to take shape.

Once complete, the upgrade will deliver safer pedestrian paths and crossings, improved drainage, wider road pavement, upgraded intersections and better on street parking and accessibility, making it easier and safer to move around the area. Main construction works are expected to continue through to October 2026.

Shellharbour City Council's Art in Unexpected Places program is once again transforming everyday spaces, this time featuring the bold and thought provoking works of acclaimed Dharug contemporary artist Tom Duffy. Have you seen them?

Displayed across bus shelters throughout Shellharbour, Tom's artworks explore themes of truth telling, identity and lived experience, creating opportunities for residents and visitors to engage with First Nations culture and storytelling in their daily lives.

The artworks can be viewed at locations including Albion Park Rail, Shellharbour, Warilla and Lake Entrance Road, making them easily accessible for the local community.
