Construction has officially begun on the Shellharbour Boathouse at Shell Cove, marking a major milestone for the region’s marine and tourism future.

This landmark project will deliver a purpose-built marine hub, bringing together vessel storage, maintenance, marine services and retail spaces in one location, supporting both recreational and commercial boating.

Once complete, it will create local jobs, strengthen tourism and enhance Shellharbour’s position as a leading coastal destination, with the facility expected to open in 2027.

Big infrastructure news for the Illawarra. A major milestone has been reached for the Tripoli Way Extension, with the final design now complete and the project moving towards construction.
Once delivered, this significant upgrade will create a new two kilometre transport corridor linking Terry Street to Broughton Avenue, helping to ease congestion, improve safety and provide a more efficient east to west connection across Albion Park.

Designed to support one of the region’s fastest growing communities, the project includes multiple new intersections, a bridge over Hazelton Creek and improved links to the Illawarra Highway.
