This is one of those real estate “rules” that deserves more nuance than it usually gets.

Yes, long-term homeownership builds wealth. Yes, rent payments don’t build equity.

But there are seasons of life where renting is actually the smarter financial move:

When you need to save more before buying. When you’re paying down debt that would affect your rate or approval. When you’re working on your credit. When you genuinely don’t know what city or neighborhood feels like home yet. When life is in a state of transition and flexibility has real value.

Renting intentionally, with a clear goal and a timeline, is not the same as renting indefinitely out of fear. Know the difference. Have a plan either way.

Today we celebrate the mums. 💛

One of the most special parts of what we do at Ray White is getting to walk alongside families through some of life’s biggest moments. We see the late nights, the sacrifices, the hopes, and the love that goes into creating a home.

A house is never just walls and a roof.
For mums, it’s where memories are made, where kids grow up, where Christmas mornings happen, and where everyone feels safe at the end of the day.

So here’s to the mum’s ,🥂

The ones packing lunch boxes while answering emails.
The ones attending inspections with babies on their hips.
The ones dreaming of bigger backyards, safer streets, and homes where their families can grow.
The ones juggling school drop offs, sports, work, dinner, and somehow still making it all happen.
