Whether you're stacking hay bales or repurposing old farm treasures, there's a category for everyone:

🌾 HAY & SILAGE BALE SCULPTURE
Create an original sculpture using hay and/or silage bales as the primary construction material.

♻️ RECYCLED FARM MATERIALS SCULPTURE
Create an original sculpture using recycled or repurposed farm materials, including machinery parts, fencing, drums, tyres, pallets, scrap metal and other agricultural items.

Gather your family, friends, sporting club, business or community group and start planning your creation now.

Turn ordinary farm materials into extraordinary works of art and help bring Christmas cheer to our towns this festive season.

🕰️ How long have you worked in the industry? Just over 7 years

📚 How did you get started in this agriculture? I moved to a remote rural town and developed an interest in the agricultural industry. I really enjoyed the community aspect of rural life and the opportunity toi work closely with farmers and businesses within the region.

🧩 What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work? Kids sport, spending time outside and the occasional puzzle.

🥩 Favourite meal? Lotts crumbed lamb cutlets with gravy and bacon - hard to go past a good country pub classic.

🧋 How do you have your coffee? Double shot caramel latte or an iced caramel latte

🪙 Whats one thing people might be surprised to learn about you? I have a large coin collection and collect coins

Please welcome: Ryan Malone

👜 Position: Agronomist, Riverina Hills

🕰️ How long have you been with Elders? 5 Years

📚 How did you get started in this field? I grew up on our family dairy farm at Tumut, and have always been interested in plants and growing things. I also have an interest in livestock production too, so pasture agronomy has the best of both worlds.

🐠 What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside of work? I like spending time outside, usually fishing, playing hockey, farming, travelling, or hiking.

🏔️ What’s the best place you’ve travelled to? Ecuador would have to be one of the most interesting countries I have visited. It has the most diverse landscapes, wildlife and plants I have seen.

🔨 If you weren't an agronomist, what would you be doing? Growing up I liked the idea of being a vet or a builder.

🍉 Whats your favourite plant/vegetable to grow? Corn and watermelons!
