WHAT IS THE HEADSPACE PEOPLE LOOKING TO SELL IN THE CURRENT MARKET NEED?

If you are on the market at the moment, or thinking about coming to market, my biggest piece of advice for sellers from a headspace point of view is to really understand the current statistics and be prepared to exercise some patience.

If the average time on market was around 30 days a year ago, it may now be closer to 60 or even 90 days. And remembering that is an average, the reality for some properties could be four or five months.

Going into the process with that understanding can make a huge difference. Try not to put yourself in a position where you absolutely have to be sold within a very short timeframe, because that can create an enormous amount of unnecessary stress around something you ultimately cannot completely control.

Know the market, plan for a longer campaign, and give yourself the breathing room to make good decisions along the way.
