🐓 Boxing / Caging of Poultry – Acceptable for Auction 🐓

This is the correct and acceptable way to bring your chooks to the auction.

Please understand, it is your responsibility as a seller to make sure your birds are presented properly.

👉 If a chicken cannot stand up fully and turn around in the box, then the box is too small.

I understand if you’re new and have never been to an auction before — asking questions is always welcome.

✅ Muscovy drakes. These birds generally prefer to sit, so old wax fruit boxes are very acceptable for them.

Below is an example of a chick in a suitable box, with a small water container attached to the wire. The same concept applies to larger birds — they just need larger boxes.

The safety and comfort of your birds is important. A well-boxed bird is less stressed and much happier

Regards,
Jo.
