It's New Year's eve, and obviously on we are on the edge of 2026. Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of our lives. Lets hope it is a better year than 2025.
We are undergoing a growth spurt at the moment, with two new salespersons joining us, approximately in February, depending on when their licences are issued by Fair Trading. Both are bilingual, speaking Mandarin and English, and Filipino and English, respectively. We have also started getting some really good sales, so I am looking forward to this next phase. However, a cloud on the horizon is the commencement of Austrac's Tranche 2 obligations for real estate companies, lawyers, conveyancers and the like. This will require us to monitor all transactions for possible criminal activity, as a result of the Australian' government's action against money laundering and counter-terrorism activities. The consequences for not doing our part in this can be quite serious, so its important we focus on it and get it right.
