New laws take effect from 1 July 2026!

Australia’s Anti‑Money Laundering & Counter‑Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws are changing and as a result, we’re now required to carry out additional identity and verification checks for property transactions.

✅ What this means for you:

You may be asked for more identification documents.
There may be extra verification steps during your matter.
This is a legal requirement, not a choice 📝

These checks help protect you, your transaction, and the integrity of the property system.

👉 Please allow a little extra time and respond promptly if we request documents.
If you have questions, we’re happy to help – just get in touch.

The main component that will be required of you will be do have ALL current Identity documents BEFORE we begin acting for you. You will be asked for:

1. Birth Certificate
2. Marriage Certificate
3. Medicare Card
4. Drivers Licence
5. If available, Passport.

IT IS IMPERATIVE that these documents are VALID and IN DATE.

Act now! If you don't have Births Deaths & Marriages issued Certificates and are contemplating a property transaction in Australia from 1 July 2026 then apply for these documents now.

A very special gift from a very special client.
A few weeks ago we settled a very difficult purchase. There was a lot of ups and downs but at the same time, a really special purchase. Our lovely clients have bought this home, to absolutely flip and provide a beautiful home to a young family in need. Having been a single mum myself, I’ve faced the ups and downs that this situation brings.
It was an absolute delight to work with you guys and I’m truly looking forward to the next one!
In the meantime you’ll find me with a cuppa, a book and a choccie on the couch for the next few days!
