We just had the loveliest time at the strawberry farm. It was an absolute pleasure wandering among the rows of strawberries which were growing at easy pick height, and sampling and picking a punnet,
Afterwards we sat down for some strawberry ice cream, made with real strawberries of course.

These characters dressed in black arrived on black bikes, mingled with the crowd and did funny things like trying to pinch people’s shoes and kids ice creams.
Then they jumped up and down on the ropes, and the bells rang. They didn’t look like church bells, but were definitely activated by the ropes. Now they are doing proper bell ringing, making actually music, not just rhythms!

Tonight there is a free public event in the grounds outside the Civic Theatre. Very pleasant easy listening music entertainment before hand.
Then the main show features bells, and acrobatics. I am really looking forward to it but I am not sure how they are going to mix that up! It remains to be seen!!!

One of the early groups was “Left of Country”. They are a local group that perform around town especially at nursing homes etc. A great easy listening country sound... It’s a beautiful evening, great food, great weather, great music, lovely gardens and celebrating the Spirit of Christmas. What more could you want in a free public event??

Check out the new art work in Cadell Place. You can drive past, or even better drive to the corner of Fitzmaurice
St and Cadell Place, park close by and walk up onto the levee bank. A great walk, looking at the art walk on one side and the river on the other. The river is low at present. It was a lovely sunny winter’s day when we went, we enjoyed the walk so much we went even further!

This morning I went to see the Spy exhibition at the Museum of the Riverina. There were interactive exhibits and activities for children. It was fascinating, and of course featured the Petrov affair. Apart from the history of spying in Australia, my favourite part was seeing the development of coding and code breaking.
Worth a visit and on until 12th August.

This morning I had the privilege of participating in a tour of the Marrambidya Wetland. It far exceeded my expectations....

This morning I had the privilege of participating in a tour of the Marrambidya Wetland. It far exceeded my expectations. From aboriginal camp replicas, carved totem pole, bird hides, viewing platform, to an excellent all weather walking track round the ponds it was all there. A must see for visitors to Abbey Apartments,
as it is nearby.

We were privileged to be invited to attend the opening of the Archibald Prize exhibition at the Art Gallery here in Wagga. What an amazing collection! A must see! All sorts of quirky, funny and serious works. I'll leave you to find the winner, and the rudies by yourself. On for the next seven weeks!

Wagga Wagga always has great events! Last night was exceptional! One Voice choir conducted by Dr Jonathan Welch was amazing. To think 350 local people (a mix of local choir members and untrained singers) could sound so good!!!
The next event I am looking forward to is the Christmas Spectacular, also at the Music Bowl, on Sunday 11th December. That's always sensational. Get there early!!

Bidgee Blues are performing tonight at the amphitheatre near the Civic Theatre. It is just beautiful sitting listening to the music and it is free too. I love these Twilight by the Lagoon concerts!

What a beautiful morning for a stroll to the Farmers Markets. Lovely scenery, entertainment and a busy market atmosphere. All you could ask for. I am looking forward to using the locally made smoked lamb merguez sausages I bought. The tiny sample was just delicious.
