Haigslea State School celebrates 150 years of community! 🥳

There was plenty to celebrate on the Haigslea State School oval on Saturday 29 August as the local community came together to mark an incredible 150 years of education, memories and milestones.

The celebration, supported by Highland Walloon developer Lennium Group, was an opportunity for people from different generations and backgrounds to gather and connect with others who have long-standing ties to the area.

🚧 Roadworks update: Taylors Road and Thagoona Haigslea Road

A new section of Taylors Road between Highland Walloon and Thagoona Haigslea Road is now open under traffic control, replacing the previous flood-prone dirt road section.

Work is continuing on two new intersections along Thagoona Haigslea Road, including important stormwater infrastructure that has required the temporary closure of a section of Thagoona Haigslea Road.

We understand the closure is inconvenient and sincerely thank local residents, families and other road users for their patience. Once complete, the upgrades will deliver a safer, flood-free and more efficient connection for current and future residents along Taylors Road.

Please follow all traffic signage and allow additional travel time while traffic management and detours remain in place.
