Walpole Waterview holiday cottage

There’s plenty of places to check out on your bike in Walpole and Beyound. On leaving Waterview cottage you’re instantly on a pathway to Coalmine beach which is an easy short ride or you can carry on around the knoll taking in the inlet. Check out local trails Walpole-Nornalup Visitor Centre

To up the challenge even more, you could ride plan to take on the Manjimup to Walpole section of the Mundabiddi track stopping at the cottage to rest and enjoy Walpole. Then carry on to Albany on the next section.

Did you know there an authentic 16th-century Dutch design windmill in the Stirling ranges. It’s an impressive sight. Built by Dutch born Pleun Hitzert between 1991 and 1997. It is a working flour mill called “The Lilly”. Though closed the day we visited it was yet another lovely drive from Walpole through the ranges, stopping for lunch at the historic Porongurups Inn,Shop & tea rooms which was built in 1937.

There’s plenty to see and do around Walpole. Something you may not know, is driving the back roads of Walpole and Denmark you can come across quite a few roadside stalls. The choice is impressive there’s home made jams, sauces and relish, various fruit and veg, honey, books and plants. So do yourself a favour and take a drive.
Remember to take some cash.

Rottnest isn't the only habitat for WA's famous marsupial they're also found in southern WA near Walpole and on Bluff Knoll! 😍
