Jazzy and Princess are patiently waiting in the buggy… well, Princess is patient. 😆

The moment Jazzy spots me, the tail starts wagging, the paw reaches out, and then comes the famous howl to the sky! Meanwhile Princess is perfectly happy supervising everything from her comfy spot.

Two dogs. Two completely different personalities. ❤️🐾

❤️ Princess's Toughest Week

What a week on the block!

Ron has done it again and found another bargain that will be incredibly useful around the property. He always seems to know where the best deals are hiding!

We also provide an update on the Compost Thief mystery and reveal how Ron has successfully dealt with this problem in the past. Will his solution work again?

Work continues on the tunnel houses as we push forward with creating productive growing spaces here on our Tasmanian sea change property.

Most importantly, we introduce Princess and share the reason behind her constant limp. At 9 years old, Princess recently faced one of the toughest days of her life, undergoing not one but TWO surgeries in a single day. It wasn't an easy decision, but we're hopeful it will give her several more years of the happy, active life she loves so much.

Join us for another week of farming, problem-solving, bargain hunting, and a very special update on one of our beloved dogs.

Shimba Beats The Tractor! 🚜🐾

When it came time to level the floors in our tunnel houses, Ron thought he might need to bring in the tractor. 🚜

But after watching Shimba hard at work in the exact spot, he started to wonder if the tractor was really necessary! 🐾😂

This hardworking little farm dog was determined to help with the excavation project, digging away with enthusiasm and proving she’s a valuable member of the team.

The only question is… will all that hard work mean an afternoon nap is on the cards? 😴

500 Strawberry Babies… One Big Surprise! 🍓

I never intended this to be an experiment!

Over 500 baby strawberry plants are growing in pots this winter, but I noticed something fascinating. The runners that stayed attached to their mother plants while developing roots are now twice the size and still beautifully green.

Meanwhile, the babies that had to survive on their own from day one are much smaller and already showing red winter leaves.

Same garden. Same frost. Same snow. Same rain. Same sunshine.

The only difference? Some could keep drawing energy from their mothers while they established themselves.

Nature never stops teaching us new lessons! 🍓🌱
