this is my new hive from a swarm caught in October. Today I inspected it and believe i will have to extract some honey...and same with my original hive, despite extracting the some 4 weeks ago...at least this makes up for no honey for the last 2 seasons

I am the lucky recipient of a rescue hive. I inspected it today to find it near honey bound. This is when the honey stores are so much the queen has little room to lay. I have removed a frame and replaced it with an empty. I will inspect again tomorrow and likely add a super.
