A wonderful way to end the 2024 year on a high celebrating all things LandTeam with our team at Relish Shellharbour. We’d like to take a moment to reflect on the hard work and achievements of our team and to share two small but important words – thank you.

Another special thank you to our valued clients and friends, we thank you for your continued support.

We sign-off this year asking you to take a few minutes to reflect on your own year, to savor the great things you achieved, the challenges you overcame, the people whose lives you touched and to look forward to making the 2025 year the very best yet.

Over the weekend our team celebrated another successful year with a sip and paint sesh hosted by Tipsy Creations at The Lodge Jamberoo Resort & Spa. It’s safe to say there was actually quite a few talented painters 🎨 (who would have thought, go team!).

During the holiday season, our thoughts turn gratefully to those who have made 2023 a success - our wonderful clients and our exceptional team members. It is in this spirit that we say thank you and send best wishes for the holidays and New Year.

Simply Water and Sewer & LandTeam recently completed an exciting sewer major works project with M J Owens Plumbing.

We designed and oversaw the construction of a sewer to service a high rise development in the CBD of Wollongong. The job included attaching the new sewer to the internal basement wall - check out the pics and video taken at the sewer connection.

This morning LandTeam staff held a cake stall to raise money for the Cancer Council Australia Biggest Morning Tea!

Everyone enjoyed some sweet and savory goodies and so far we have raised close to $300!

Well done to those who provided the baked goods and those who donated 🧁

Dijana, Jodie & Lauren attended Lake Illawarra High School Careers yesterday for a careers focused event for female students.

They talked about all things surveying and engineering, careers and opportunities in our industry, overcoming barriers and the pathways for females in our industry.

We are conscious of the skills shortage being faced by our industry (as with many other professions), so it was a rewarding morning spreading surveying and engineering awareness and trying to inspire the next generation of surveyors and engineers.

R U OK? The question that used to feel a little lighter, a little easier, as answers bobbed gently back and forth over a cuppa with your friend, family member or colleague. But life is hard and complicated, probably now more than ever - it's been a brutally tough few years with natural disasters, a pandemic, border closures and separation from loved ones causing despair.

Life at the moment just isn't as we know it and it’s easy to have an inward focus in lockdown, but today we are looking out. It's R U OK Day and we’re calling on everyone to check in with the people in their world and ask if they’re really OK, not just today but every day.

The ups and downs of life can affect each of us differently. Sometimes it won’t be obvious that someone is struggling, but having the support of family, friends and colleagues can help those close to us better navigate the challenges that come their way.

Don't wait until someone is visibly distressed or in crisis to ask them how they're really going. Make a moment meaningful and ask, "are you OK?" because your conversation could change a life.

If you want to support someone but aren’t sure where to start, follow these four steps:

ASK R U OK? – Pick the right time and place and ask them how they're going.
LISTEN – Listen with an open mind and without judgement.
ENCOURAGE ACTION - Encourage them to do something that might lighten the load.
CHECK IN – Remember to check in again soon. Your ongoing care and support can make a difference.

For Peter Lockhart, a LandTeam Senior Civil and Structural Engineer for 23 years now, it has not been all about Engineering.
He also joined Sandon Point Surf Life Saving Club 23 years ago and has recently been awarded life membership, a terrific accolade as you will see from the testament below of Peter’s volunteering for the club. Get this: “18 years of patrols with 16 years at 100%“.. That is seriously magic – just think about that dedication.

Congratulations to our newest Life Member… Peter Lockhart 👏🏼🎉

Peter joined Sandon Point SLSC in 1998, along with Julianne bringing their young family down to nippers. In 2003 he took the step to acquire his Bronze Medallion and joined in patrols.

By 2006 he had joined the Building Committee and Management Team. Peter’s contribution during construction of the new clubhouse and ongoing maintenance has been crucial. His professional skills have come to the fore, particularly in dealing with council. He continues in his roles with the Management Team and Building Committee to this day.

Peter is universally a much loved and respected member. With his quiet and sensible manner, he is the voice of reason at management meetings.

His patrol work is exemplary, 18 years of patrols, 16 years at 100%, a National Medallist, and in recent years, he has been joint patrol captain.
