When you get approached by a very lovely client to just do a bit job,
such as replace a very shallow bath tub with a very deep bathtub and do the rest of the bathroom sometime you just say yes .

So these very nice people called and asked if I could fix a couple of loose tiles hmmmm when I lifted the tiles the sub floor was in this condition in the photos .
A shower base of chipboard and cement screed was under the tiles with no waterproofing 😱😱🙈🙈🙈
So the subsequent result was a rotten subfloor .
2metre drop under the floor and probably about 6 to 8 months before it would have collapsed with someone in the shower .
Never be to shy to ask how your bathroom is being done or to really get it checked out regularly if you can access under the floor .
I replaced all the rotten joists used tile underlay properly waterproofed then a good shower base and the clients picked up some discontinued tiles for next to nothing and hey presto back in action as in the photos .
Water leaks and bathrooms are not friends .

What a run of wonderful clients .
These folk had two bathrooms and they wondered about some swelling door frames ! After investigating the not so old bathrooms were both leaking. The decision was to renovate completely.
So I sunk a tile tray for a seamless floor to shower area , and gave the room a light grey industrial feel with a custom made toilet roll holder.
I also had a collection of old timber and custom made a small vanity .
The wood offsets the grey .
Painting in 3 tones of grey the client will now fill the room with indoor plants and some colourful towels.

When you have amazing lovely clients why wouldn’t you go over and above.
This was a little makeover on the shower and bath the vanity was going to stay with it’s dated 80s pink laminate.
But I asked the clients if they were up for an experiment, yes was the answer. So to save money I formed up the vanity top and poured concrete on it .
Then just added some detail to the cupboard doors and hey presto it looks like new and fits with the new light tones bathroom.
They were quite happy I think 🤩

When you literally have no money in the budget you can still do amazing things with left over materials and a small amount of paint.
This bathroom was in terrible shape at a lovely clients BNB, the budget was so tight so I had to go crazy with ideas to cover the old with some fun. Reusing all the fittings including the old shower then I just Blinged it up . Dont be afraid to have some fun its only paint and wallpaper. so easily changed at some point down the track.
