Who would have thought that we would be getting virtual reality in Gippsland?

Walhalla is a short day trip (1 hour) from Elmsford Cottage and a "must see" when in Gippsland. This will now be a "must see" when visiting Walhalla.

CATASTROPHIC FIRE DAY?

A reach out to Jane, Gary and Sandy (K9) following their stay over the last 2 days. Thanks for staying with us and thanks for making the job of our cleaner so easy!

Jane and Gary made the correct decision to leave early when the extreme fire danger was declared a few days ago. Their home being in a lovely country town in the Yarra Valley - surrounded by bush.

This is a market segment that I would have never contemplated when we opened Elmsford Cottage. Being a firefighter of 45+ years I understand now.

If you live in "the bush" and make the call to relocate for a few days why not check the availability on our website? It's a very short walk to the Warragul Country club with great facilities and food. (And it's air-conditioned!) It is also a great chance to check out what Warragul has to offer in the retail sector - again in air-conditioned comfort!

Elmsford Cottage is air-conditioned and has a dog safe yard.

WHY NOT EXPLORE NOOJEE?

While staying at Elmsford Cottage in Warragul why not visit Noojee and all it has to offer?

Nooj is a great place to spend the day. Visit Toorongo Falls, The old Trestle Bridge and have lunch on the veranda of the Noojee Hotel. You can even try your luck fishing in the river and if you have no luck there is always the Alpine Trout Farm!

The Red Parrot Cafe, in the heart of town, also does great light meals.

A great town to spend the day in.

ELMSFORD COTTAGE - DOG FRIENDLY!

Did you know that Elmsford Cottage is dog friendly? We even have a secure outside yard for small to medium sized dogs, including a kennel.

Your "fur babies" are also allowed inside when you are home, however not on the furniture!

The closest entrance to Brooker Park is only 200m from Elmsford Cottage. The park features great paths to walk your dog and also get some exercise in the fresh air!

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

One of Warragul's favourite Cafes, "The Neighbourhood," is a very short 150 metres (3 minutes) walk from Elmsford Cottage.

The Neighbourhood is a great option for breakfasts, light lunches or even just a good coffee.

A few comments from the guest book. Thanks to everyone who chooses to support a small business when visiting Warragul!

And if you have had trouble booking recently - our apologies but we have been 100% booked out for about 2 months. One Warragul family had to relocate for 6 weeks due to a flooding incident in their home and an associated insurance claim. We also welcomed David, a regular guest who stays at Elmsford for a few weeks, every few months, when in town for business.

WE DO MAKE EXCEPTIONS TO OUR TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY POLICY!

Although as a "rule of thumb" we do not offer single nights largely due to the cost of cleaning. Having said that, if you are hard up finding suitable accommodation please reach out - we may be able to fit you in between existing bookings.

The following review, in the guest book, is from a small group who were in Warragul for a family event and were only looking for accommodation for a single night. We could help them out.

Ojsawi even reached out and asked if we could recommend somewhere for breakfast on their departure as they had arrived in the dark. We are luck that "The Neighbourhood" cafe is a 100m walk from Elmsford Cottage.
