50 Years of Wilsons ๐ซ

For 50 years, Wilsons has been part of the Warrnambool and District property landscape. Through changing markets, new technology and generations of clients, the values behind the business have remained the same.
In 1976, Mark Wilson made the move from selling livestock to selling real estate, establishing Mark Wilson & Associates in Warrnambool. It was a very different time. Property advertising was dominated by newspapers, photographs were printed rather than uploaded instantly, and much of the business was built through face-to-face conversations, personal relationships and knowing the local community.
And Mark knew the community. In fact, no conversation about the history of the local property market would be complete without mentioning him.
Before long, the next generation began learning the business. Markโs sons became involved in the industry, learning real estate from the ground up. Jackson Wilson joined the business straight out of high school, spending 14 years with the Warrnambool office before continuing his career in Geelong. Today, he is Director of Kardinia Property alongside his wife, Sara.
And then there was Lucas.
Being born into the Wilson family meant Lucasโ real estate education started long before his official career did. Growing up around the business, the conversations and the people, his training began well before he formally entered the industry in 2001.
As the business continued to grow, it became eventually Wilson Real Estate. This marked another important chapter, as the agency continued to build a reputation for strong results, genuine local knowledge and a commitment to supporting the community.
After 12 years as a salesperson, Lucas stepped away from the family business for three years to work in the marine industry. But real estate was never far away.
