Laneway Landscape by Alex Kerr

Alex Kerr is a proud Wurundjeri man, which is part of the Woi-Wurrang language group that forms the Kulin Nation.

Alex created the laneway artwork as a representation of what our landscapes looked like, prior to what our city looks like now. There are gathering places (the circles) where you can see everyone sitting around, sharing their stories and celebrating their culture. You have curved pathways going from meeting place to meeting place, this represents everyones journeys before their next destination. It is never a straight line, as you can come across many obstacles in life. Finally the footprints of the kangaroo, represents the animals and how they were an important resource for our survival.

GingerSnap Patisserie exists to celebrate the limitless potential of people with disability, creating plant-based, mostly gluten-free desserts that spark moments of joy.

For one day only, they are opening their doors to sell their stunning desserts direct to the public, with favourites including coffee and chocolate opera cake, biscoff cheesecake rochers, passionfruit rochers, raspberry and white chocolate entremet, salted caramel and chocolate mousse tarts.

Plus they'll be introducing baked tarts to warm up winter: pecan tart, raspberry bakewell and pear frangipane tart.
