Day 11 - Windsor Park Field of Play Redevelopment

One of the most critical components to a surface redevelopment is the growing medium or rootzone material used.

Our design for this project incorporates 4500 tonne of our very own premium sand growing medium which blended with some secret herbs and spices for turf health provides a fantastic rootzone but just as importantly is also plays a pivotal role in the integrated drainage system combining with the ag-drains and sand slits to provide an all weather surface catering for Tasmania’s harshest winter rainfall events.

Our amazing sand mine & transport team have delivered just over 3000t of the 4500t required.

Day 7 ~ Windsor Park Field of Play Redevelopment.

Another fantastic day by the team today with plenty of action onsite on multiple fronts;
- completion of the perimeter kerb
- installation of electrical & coms pits
- irrigation trenching complete
- irrigation ring main install started
- excavation for light pole footings

Couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of our employees that turn up every day and deliver a solid days work 👷🏻‍♀️👷🏼‍♀️

Not even 12 months after being completed the George Town Football Club & George Town Council have been granted the Relive the Rivalry game for 2024, what a great outcome!

Designed & Constructed by The Baker Group in 2022 in conjunction with SPORTENG the ground is now regarded as one of the best AFL Tasmania fields of play in the state.

Can’t wait to watch all the legends give it the thumbs up 👍🏼🏈
