The next chapter of sport, recreation and connection is underway at Whiterock.

Construction is progressing on the multi-purpose Sports and Recreation Reserve with new sporting fields and community clubrooms on the way.

Irrigation works are currently underway ahead of the seeding of the playing fields. The precinct is expected to open in early 2027, creating new opportunities for local sport, active living and community events.

Plans are also progressing for the new Community Sports Pavilion. The future facility will include four player changerooms, referee facilities, public amenities, a canteen and flexible community spaces, with opening anticipated in mid-2028.

Whiterock's next chapter is taking shape, with the neighbourhood retail site at Whiterock Village now under contract to Woolworths.

Set to anchor the proposed centre with a full-line supermarket and online offering, Woolworths will be joined by a planned mix of specialty retailers and food and dining options, bringing greater everyday convenience closer to home.

Woolworths are currently preparing to lodge a development application for the site and will keep the community informed as plans progress.
