IT'S TIME TO OPEN MOUNT WARNING/WOLLUMBIN. It has been closed for years, and used to attract over 100,000 hikers per year. Today I was joined by Kimberly Hone For Richmond and Aboriginal Elder Sturt Boyd calling for it to be reopened. This would not only restart the tourism trade, but also allow access for Aboriginal Elders

Yuraygir National Park at sunset, but what's that in the background? Can you name this landmark?

Visitors familiar with our region will recognise this incredible peak, visible from many perspectives, including the Maclean Lookout, and while traveling through the region.

We like to admire from a distance, either from the Yuraygir Coastal Walk or on one of our mapped road trips.

Yes we would have to agree. It’s a great time to do the walk now it’s cooling off.

As the weather cools down, now is a great time to take on the Yuraygir Coastal Walk.
It's probably been on your To-Do list for some time, and as one season rolls into the next, it's always a next-year thing.

The Yuraygir National Park not only boasts a superb coastline but you'll also pass by rivers, lakes and estuaries, so swimmers and snorkelers are spoilt for choice here too.

Plan ahead and take your time. This is one for the 2024 bucket list.

Yes …. an awesome part of the Yuraygir Coastal Walk.

Exploring the road less travelled could lead you here...

We have no idea why it's called Red Cliff. Answers on a postcard please!😉

We do know the high cliffs offer the perfect vantage point for looking over the pristine coastline though.

Swim, fish, surf and find yourself here amongst the soil and saltwater.

Great time to do the Yuraygir Coastal Walk before it heats up for summer.

Even though spring hasn't officially sprung, it certainly feels and looks like it has!

The beautiful blend of sunset oranges, complements the spring fauna perfectly, making it a great start to any day.

Now is the time to head out on to the Yuraygir Coastal Walk, where you will find an array of natives along the way, both furry friends and fauna faves!
