NSW SES is deploying personnel and assets ahead of Tropical Cyclone Alfred 🌀

We have deployed additional flood rescue and storm operators from across the state to support local SES teams in Northern NSW ahead of Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

With heavy rainfall and damaging winds expected from Wednesday, we’re ensuring the NSW SES is well-prepared and supported 💪

We have also sent communication equipment, support personnel, aviation resources and specialised vehicles ahead of the forecasted impacts later this week.

A Cyclone Watch and Flood Watch have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology

Residents are urged to prepare by:
🏡 Securing loose items around your home
🌳 Trimming trees away from properties
🚗 Not parking under trees or powerlines

Prepare an emergency kit with essential items including identification documents, medications, a torch, mobile phone charger and a battery operated radio.
