A very deserving House of the Year. 🏆

This sprawling contemporary country residence in Auckland has been named the Resene Construction Systems 2026 House of the Year, showcasing Rockcote finishes inside and out.

Applied over Porotherm clay blocks, the exterior features a Rockcote Masonry Render System finished in Casamenti texture, while inside, Rockcote Velvetina coloured lime plaster carries across the walls and soaring ceilings.

A much-loved Rockcote finish has evolved, with Clay Plaster Décor now also available in a ready-to-use wet formulation. With a brighter, whiter base for cleaner colour expression, the refined formulation retains the authentic character of natural clay while offering improved hardness and even greater possibilities for contemporary interiors.

Finished smooth or textured, Clay Plaster Décor can also be customised with natural fibres, aggregates or shells to create a truly individual, handcrafted finish.

A new chapter in a story more than 100 years in the making. ✨
We’ve loved following the journey of Lagnicourt as it came to life, and now this beautiful new wedding and events venue has officially opened its doors.

Set amongst a 650-acre working apple orchard in Queensland’s Granite Belt, Lagnicourt draws on a century of McMahon family history, bringing French-inspired elegance together with the character and beauty of its rural surroundings.

Rockcote finishes featured extensively throughout the interiors and exterior, with rich, hand-applied textures adding character and movement to the walls and beautifully complementing the venue’s old-world architectural details. From the softly textured dining room walls to the fireplace and striking exterior façade, the craftsmanship of is on show at every turn.

Externally, Rockcote Quick Render Premium Sponge creates the softly textured finish across the striking façade, finished with Rockcote Armour used to seal and protect the walls, tinted to a custom colour by David's Discount Paints on the Gold Coast.
