Didi (Diabolical) …. Brown bay mare, rising 11, approx 16.1hh and has not been backed since coming off the track. CANNOT be bred. Good to handle but can be spicy when taken away from the herd though not difficult to handle. Is inclined to set back when hard tied. Good for the farrier, wash and walks straight onto the float.
Hope (Secret Surprise) …. Chestnut mare, rising 10, needs education, approx 15.1hh walks straight onto the float. Stands for the farrier and to be washed etc.
Blueberry (Blueberry Smoothie) …. American import, turned 16 in January 2026. Recently backed and very forward moving. Had not been ridden since coming off the track 10-11 years ago. Can be difficult to load onto a float. CANNOT be bred. Stands for the farrier but needs another horse nearby.
This is not an easy decision but unfortunately I have to downsize my numbers. These mares will be good horses once they are in work. They need confident handlers and are NOT suitable for beginners or novice people. These mares will not be handed off to the first person to come along. I will be making sure it’s a good fit and if I don’t believe you are then I will say so. No sight unseen handoffs, mares must be viewed and handled by the person interested in them. I have not put a price on them as that will be discussed at the time of viewing and an agreed home.
I’m not setting these requirements to inhibit them going to new homes but to prevent them ending up in the wrong home and either the person getting hurt or the horse going from home to home.
Matching horses up with people is number one priority for me. This helps to get the horse and person set up as a good team.
