Soil Test কি?
সয়েল টেস্ট এর বাংলা অর্থ হলো মাটি পরীক্ষা, তবে ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং ভাষায় স্থাপনা বা বিল্ডিং এর ভূনিন্মস্থ মাটির পরীক্ষা করাকে ‘সয়েল টেস্ট’ বা ‘সাব-সয়েল ইনভেস্টিগেশন’ বলে।

Soil Test কেন করা হয়?
ভূনিন্মস্থ মাটির নিরাপদ ভারবহন ক্ষমতা নিরুপণের জন্য সয়েল টেস্ট করা হয়। সঠিক ফাউন্ডেশন ডিজাইন এবং সঠিক ব্যয় বা খরচ নির্ধারণে মাটি পরীক্ষা (সয়েল টেস্ট) অত্যাবশ্যক। এখানে জেনে রাখা দরকার যে, নির্মাণ সাইটে মাটি পরীক্ষা ব্যতীত বাড়ির ফাউন্ডেশন ডিজাইন সম্ভব নয়। যে কোন ধরনের স্থাপনা যেমন, আবাসিক ভবন, বাণিজ্যিক ভবন, স্কুল-কলেজ, মসজিদ-মন্দির, হাসপাতাল, শপিং কমপ্লেক্স, ব্রিজ-কালভার্ট, সড়ক-মহাসড়ক, রেললাইন, এয়ারপোর্ট, পাওয়ার প্লান্ট ইত্যাদি ডিজাইনের জন্য সয়েল টেস্ট অপরিহার্য। কোন নিচু জায়গা কিংবা ভরাট মাটির জায়গায় নির্মাণ কাজে অবশ্যই মাটি পরীক্ষা করতে হবে। তবে আমাদের দেশের মাটির নিরাপদ ভার বহন ক্ষমতা বর্গমিটারে ৯-১০ টন থাকে বলে প্রকৌশলীগণ সাধারনত Structure (এক দুইতলা ভবন) এর জন্য সয়েল টেস্ট রেফার করেন না, এই হালকা ভবনগুলোর ফাউন্ডেশনে এর থেকে বেশি লোড আসে না। তবে অবশ্যই তিনের অধিক ভবনের জন্য সয়েল টেস্ট জরুরী। মনে রাখবেন সয়েলটেস্ট ছাড়া ডিজাইন করা আর ডাক্তারের #প্রেসক্রিপশন ছাড়া ঔষধ খাওয়া একই কথা। ইহা ছাড়া ভূনিন্মস্থ মাটির বৈশিষ্ট্য জানা কারও পক্ষে সম্ভব নয়, একমাত্র সয়েল টেস্ট রিপোর্ট দেখেই একজন প্রকৌশলীর পক্ষে বলা সম্ভব স্থাপনা সুরক্ষার জন্য কি ধরনের ফাউন্ডেশন প্রয়োজন ।

তাই বাড়ি নির্মাণের পূর্বে অভিজ্ঞ ইঞ্জিনিয়ার দ্বারা জমির সয়েল টেস্ট করিয়ে নিতে আপনার সাথে আছে Mass Consultant.
