বাংলা কার্টুন ইতিহাসে গোপাল ভাঁড়ই একমাত্র কার্টুন যার পর্ব সংখ্যা সবচেয়ে বেশি, ১২৬৮টা পর্ব ও ক্লাসিকাল ৭৮টি পর্ব নিয়ে মোট ১৩৪৬টি পর্ব। দ্বিতীয় নাম্বারে আছে নাট বল্টু।

তবে মনে প্রশ্ন জাগে যে এমন বেহিসেবী সংখ্যার মধ্যে কেন এটি শেষ করতে হলো? একটা পূর্ণ হিসেবের সাথে তো শেষ করা যেত। যেমন ১৪০০,১৫০০ বা ১৫৫০!

২০২৩ সালে গোপাল ভাঁড়ের যেদিন হাজার পর্ব পূর্ণ হয় সেদিন বিজ্ঞাপনে গোপাল বলেছিল "হাজার পর্ব হলেও আরও হাজার পর্ব আনবো আমি তোমাদের জন্য।"

কিন্তু কোথায় কী? গত ২৮ জুনের পরে আর একটাও নতুন পর্ব আসেনি। আজকেও আশা নিয়ে টিভির সামনে বসে ছিলাম, কিন্তু এলো সেই আগের পুরাতন পর্ব।

সবকিছুর শেষ আছে এটা চিরন্তন সত্য। সেই হিসেবে গোপাল ভাঁড়েরও একদিন শেষ হতোই, কিন্তু তাই বলে এভাবে গড়মিল পর্ব দিয়ে, ফিনিশিং এপিসোড ছাড়া শেষ করাটা সত্যিই খারাপ লাগার বিষয়।
