OBJECTS - From archive to icon: The RDW01 returns

Originally designed in 1962 by Belgian architect and designer Roger De Winter, the RDW01 Chaise Longue was created for a select group of private clients, making it one of the rarest pieces in Belgian design history.

Today, more than six decades later, this iconic design has been carefully reintroduced by Roger De Winter’s grandson, Jan De Winter. Remaining faithful to the original concept, De Winter Design has preserved the signature character of the RDW01 while refining it through contemporary materials and advanced production techniques.

Defined by its sculptural chrome-plated steel frame, polished aluminium slats and luxurious leather upholstery, the RDW01 represents a remarkable balance of elegance, innovation and exceptional comfort.

OBJECTS - Duo of Utrecht armchairs by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld for Cassina

The Utrecht Chair by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld for Cassina is one of the most recognizable expressions of early modernist furniture design. Its is a true classic of 20th-century design that combines geometric form with bold visual character.

Originally designed in 1935, the Utrecht Chair reflects Rietveld’s architectural approach to furniture, strongly influenced by the principles of the De Stijl movement. Defined by its angular silhouette, sculptural armrests and distinctive stitched detailing, the chair transforms functional seating into a true design statement while maintaining a remarkable sense of comfort.

Cassina has produced the Utrecht Chair with great respect for Rietveld’s original design, preserving the balance between craftsmanship, innovation and artistic expression that defines this iconic piece.

This particular set is executed in green upholstery, a vibrant and elegant finish that beautifully emphasizes the chair’s graphic lines and timeless aesthetic. The rich color gives the design a contemporary presence while remaining faithful to its modernist origins.

We currently have two chairs available, ideal as a pair for a living space, lounge area, or collector’s interior. Both chairs are in very good condition.

Berchem - Art Deco flat with an exotic garden

In the quiet, residential neighbourhood of Pulhof, close to major roads, schools, shops, restaurants, public transport and the new Brilschanspark. Leuven - Nice to do: Visit the Paul van Ostaijen Site during Architecture Day

On Sunday 7 June, Flanders and Brussels celebrate the Day of Architecture, a unique opportunity to step inside buildings that are usually closed to the public. Across the region, visitors can discover remarkable architecture, learn about the ideas behind the designs, and meet the architects and people who use these spaces every day.

From schools and housing projects to workplaces and care environments, architecture shapes how we live, work and connect. Best of all: all activities are free to visit.

One of the highlights in Leuven is the Paul van Ostaijen site, where Victor Broos’s former monastery is being transformed into a vibrant cultural space. Named after the surrounding park, the site has long been connected to the neighbourhood and is now entering a new chapter.

OBJECTS - The Florence Knoll credenza

This elegant credenza embodies the iconic vision of designer Florence Knoll and the refined clarity of Knoll. It is truly a timeless example of modernist design.

Designed by Florence Knoll, one of the most influential figures in the 20th-century American design, the piece reflects her signature philosophy of creating furniture that is both functional and visually balanced. Inspired by the clean lines of modern architecture, her designs are celebrated for their simplicity, proportion and enduring sophistication.

This particular sideboard is executed in black wood veneer paired with a striking black marble top. This creates an excellent contrast between texture and material. The marble top features a refined square-edge detail and is protected with a transparent polyester coating, while the wooden elements are finished in transparent polyurethane. The base consists of welded square steel tubing in a black polished chrome finish, giving the piece a visually light appearance. Elegant black polished aluminium pulls and door hinges further enhance the minimalist aesthetic.

The interior configuration includes three internal drawers with soft-close, a large compartment and a smaller compartment with adjustable shelvings. This offers a generous and practical storage within a clean, balanced composition. .

This sideboard is in very good condition, showing only minimal signs of use consistent with careful ownership.

Antwerpen - Grand living in flat by interior architect Wim De Vos

At the end of the Leien, at the Bolivarplaats and the Vlinderpaleis, close to approach roads, as well as very close to the new Park Zuid and the Scheldekaaien (Quays of the River Scheldt) - a nice mix of culture, greenery, tasty addresses and facilities.

This 2nd-floor flat received a total renovation in 2017 in collaboration with architect Wim De Vos. With the keywords “light, connections and vistas” in mind, the spacious flat was transformed into a relaxing place. Well-considered architectural choices ensure unity and tranquillity: cast floors throughout the apartment, sophisticated openings allowing you to see all the way from front to back and subtle colour shades that follow the natural daylight - a more than successful result.

Spacious entrance hall with separate cloakroom and guest WC. In the light-rich living space with large book wall, the windows look like paintings with an ever-changing view. The adjoining office can be converted into a third bedroom if desired. A smart utility room connects the living space with the large kitchen. Stylish materials, nice little counter and plenty of workshop: here you can work extensively. From here you can access the terrace that runs across the back of the flat, ideal for a coffee break while overlooking the beautiful, green courtyard garden. Adjacent is another large office, again with blissful views over terrace and treetops. Quiet at the back: two bedrooms, hip dressing room and beautiful bathroom.
