maison osaïn

maison osaïn Beauty is found in the people, places and objects that elevate our experience of the everyday. Maison Osaïn breathes new life into old houses.

Tired structures we acquire only to reinvent them with dedicated care, respectfully elevating their authentic character and vernacular with a contemporary sense of comfort and style. Skilfully renovated in collaboration with esteemed architects, artists, craftsmen and creators, these existing houses are made into new homes, and passed on to new owners. Every material, every detail, every element i

s meticulously considered and brought together to build a house, to create a home – a place to come back to. It is infused with a feeling of alignment and intimacy between those who occupy the house, and the community that surrounds them. It has become a locus for what we believe constitutes sincere living.

A house with a history. A project that became a homecoming.

We are grateful to be featured in the latest issue of with Villa Sous Tous Vent — a place that embodies the values at the heart of Maison Osaïn.

Originally built in 1926, this historic villa invited us into a journey of restoration, patience and care. Together with a remarkable community of artisans, artists and collaborators, we sought not only to preserve its heritage, but to reveal its soul once again.

Thank you to for sharing our story, to .reich for her thoughtful words, and to for capturing the atmosphere of the home. A special thank you to for the portrait featured in the article.

We are equally grateful to our collaborators for the art curation and for the garden design, both of which helped shape the complete narrative of this project.

Delighted to be part of this beautiful edition. 🤍

At Maison Osaïn, we believe a home should be more than a collection of rooms.

It is a place where light softens the day, where nature is welcomed inside, where materials age with grace, and where stillness finds space to settle.
A place that nurtures connection, invites reflection, and supports the rituals of everyday life.

Because architecture, at its essence, is not about building houses.
It is about creating a place for life to unfold.

Villa Marron unfolds as a dialogue between texture, light, and proportion.

Soft travertine underfoot, tactile stone surfaces, and warm oak details create an atmosphere that feels both serene and deeply rooted. Generous glass openings blur the boundary between interior and garden, allowing natural light to shape the dining space throughout the day.

A contemporary retreat where architecture slows the pace of everyday living.

Some houses carry more than history. They carry presence.

Perched along the Belgian coastline, Villa Sous Tous Vent was originally designed in 1926 by architect Valentin Vaerwyck as a place of retreat for painter Albert Saverys — a home shaped by light, silence and artistic contemplation.

Nearly a century later, Maison Osaïn reimagines the villa through a careful restoration that honours its modernist soul while opening it towards contemporary living. Natural stone, mineral textures, warm woods and softened light create a restrained atmosphere where every detail invites calm.

The surrounding garden, conceived by Piet Oudolf, follows the rhythm of the seasons like a living landscape in constant transformation. Inside, curated artworks in collaboration with KALPA quietly inhabit the spaces, adding depth, emotion and resonance.

Villa Sous Tous Vent is not simply restored. It is gently brought back to life.

Our curated home linen collection unfolds as a quiet extension of our way of living — where soft textures and thoughtful design meet in effortless harmony.
From airy linen kimonos and textured waffle towels to hand-finished napkins and duvet covers in the purest flax, each piece carries a sense of calm and intention.

These linen elements are not standalone objects; they are gently woven into every project we create — part of a larger, cohesive story that reflects our values of stillness, care, and authenticity. A tactile layer that completes the atmosphere, rather than decorates it.

Consciously made and coloured in nuanced tones of stone, hazelnut, and earth, the collection subtly mirrors the quiet language of our interiors.

A space to withdraw.

In the master bedroom and bathroom of Villa Sous Tous Vent, material and light take the lead. Natural stone, lime and wood unfold in a restrained palette, where every surface absorbs and reflects the passing of the day.

The bathroom becomes a place of ritual, carved in mineral calm.
The bedroom, a landscape of stillness — soft textures, muted tones, and a quiet dialogue with the outside.

Here, living slows down. Not defined by function, but by atmosphere.

Villa Sous Tous Vent — unveiled.

Originally conceived in 1926 as a sanctuary of light and retreat by architect Valentin Vaerwyck for painter Albert Saverys, this listed modernist villa enters a new chapter — one that carefully honours and extends its past.

With a deep respect for its heritage, Maison Osaïn restores the house through a quiet dialogue between past and present — where natural materials, restrained tones and refined interventions shape an atmosphere of calm, tactility and light.

The surrounding landscape, designed by Piet Oudolf, unfolds as a living composition, shifting with the seasons. Inside, a curated selection of artworks in collaboration with KALPA adds a final, contemplative layer.

A place where architecture, nature and art exist in balance.
A home designed not only to live in — but to slow down, observe and reconnect.
