As part of our Sustainability Academy, some colleagues visited Rotor DC this week. Rotor is a Brussels-based cooperative and one of the region's most inspiring players in circular economy and material reuse. Founded in 2016, this company specialises in the dismantling, processing and resale of reclaimed building materials — from ceramic tiles and lighting equipment to urban wood, furniture and hardware. Their work is a powerful reminder that the most sustainable material is often the one that already exists.

The visit gave our teams a hands-on understanding of the full reuse value chain:
🔹 Salvage planning in complex buildings
🔹 Restoration and transformation of reclaimed materials
🔹 Cleaning, documentation and preparation for re-installation
🔹 The environmental and economic case for choosing reuse over new

This morning began on a sweet note at Cofinimmo. ☕🍫
Our teams came together for breakfast to take part in Éclair Day, the delicious KickCancer initiative that brings together passionate bakers and supporters across Belgium every 14 March to raise funds for children, adolescents and young adults fighting cancer.
Supporting KickCancer has become a meaningful tradition for many colleagues. For the past four years, large groups of Cofinimmo employees – often joined by family members – have proudly taken part in the KickCancer Run, helping our company rank among the top contributors to this inspiring cause.
Today, we continued that commitment in an even sweeter way: by sharing breakfast and enjoying some truly irresistible éclairs, while contributing to a brighter future for young patients.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us this morning and to the incredible community behind KickCancer. Every initiative, big or small, brings us one step closer to beating childhood cancer.
(And yes… the éclairs were just as delicious as they looked! 😊)

Today, we hosted our 3rd HR Talent Fair at Cofinimmo's offices .

Cofinimmo is pleased to announce the successful delivery of our El Cañaveral senior care asset in the community of Madrid (Spain), with operations officially commencing this week.

This modern facility comprises 165 beds — including 133 single rooms (80% single ratio) — across approximately 7,000 m² of finished above-ground space, designed to deliver high-quality care in a comfortable environment.

The asset is operated under a 15-year triple net (NNN) lease by our long-standing partner Emera, marking the 9th operational asset in our collaboration with them — a relationship built on shared values and a commitment to quality senior living across Europe.

From a sustainability standpoint, El Cañaveral targets BREEAM In-Use Excellent certification and holds an EPC level A rating, reflecting our continued focus on responsible and future-proof real estate.

This delivery further strengthens Cofinimmo's healthcare real estate portfolio in Spain and across Europe.

Today, Hannah Noëth from SKAN Performance Management delivered an inspiring session during our Lunch & Learn on the theme "Stay Focus". She shared practical tips and concrete techniques to train our concentration and improve our daily efficiency.

On this International Volunteer Day, we proudly recognise the incredible generosity of our employees who dedicated their time and energy to making a difference in our communities, contributing nearly 700 volunteer hours to charity. An achievement that says a lot about Cofinimmo's shared values: ‘we care, we connect, we commit’.

This year’s theme, ‘Every Contribution Matters’, reminds us that every act of volunteering, big or small, helps build stronger communities and drives meaningful change. Distributing flowers to elderly people in the street to brighten their day with Accolage supervising a trip to the park or museum, or even painting walls in nursing and care homes to embellish the residents’ environment, in Belgium and abroad, were just a few ways of fostering a culture of care and responsibility beyond the workplace.

A heartfelt thank you to all who participated in these meaningful initiatives. Your commitment helps us build a stronger, more compassionate society together.

This weekend, we welcomed Saint-Nicholas at Cofinimmo and celebrated a moment of pure magic! These moments matter because they remind us that behind every colleague there is a story, a family, and a community.

✨ The children? Absolutely fascinated.
🤩 The parents? As excited as their kids.
😇 Saint-Nicholas? Calm and gracious, as always.

There was chocolate, pancakes, glitter (so much glitter!), and most importantly, smiles everywhere. These moments matter. They strengthen our sense of belonging and remind us that even during the busiest time of year, connection and joy are at the heart of who we are.

For the fourth consecutive year, Cofinimmo proudly teamed up with A&O Shearman Belgium to support KickCancer Foundation in its mission to fight childhood cancer. Together, we rallied more than 120 enthusiastic participants —colleagues, kids, and friends—who ran and walked under our joined banner, giving their all for a cause that truly matters.

This year’s edition saw more than 4,700 people take on the challenge in 295 teams, covering distances of 2, 5, or 10 km. And the results? A record-breaking 2.3 million EUR was raised.

The event was made even more special thanks to the presence of godparents Berre, Niels Destadsbader, Average Rob, Helena, Mentissa, Puggy and Linh, who came out to cheer and celebrate this meaningful initiative.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. Your energy, spirit, and commitment in a sunny and nice atmosphere made all the difference, helping us collect more than 41,000 EUR this year, and placing us in 4th place among corporate contributors. You are amazing!

We are already looking forward to lacing up again next year to aim even higher!
