Every year on June 2nd, Bhutan commemorate the Official Crowning of the Fourth King, His Majesty Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck. This day is also celebrated as Social Forestry Day where everyone in Bhutan plant trees in and around the community. We found an interesting book in our home archives that was realeased in October 1974. The book is a magazine by the National Geographic which covered the coronation's story beautifully. We have captured few spins from the book for a refreshment of memories from 1974.
