National Housing Development Corporation Limited, Bhutan National Housing Development Corporation Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise in Bhutan.

The National Housing Development Corporation Limited (NHDCL) is a State- state-owned enterprise (SOE) that provides affordable housing and services related to housing. It was established in September 2003 as a unit under the then Ministry of Works and Human Settlements, following the development of the National Housing Policy in 2002. It was later delinked from the Ministry in July 2011 as the apex body responsible for the development, management, and promotion of housing facilities in the country. Currently, NHDCL functions as an SOE with its head office in Thimphu and two regional offices in Phuntsholing and Samdrup Jongkhar.

On September 7, 2026, the National Housing Development Corporation Limited (NHDCL) proudly marked its 16th Foundation Day under the theme "16 ๐‘Œ๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘Ÿ๐‘  ๐‘œ๐‘“ ๐ต๐‘ข๐‘–๐‘™๐‘‘๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐ป๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘  ๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘‘ ๐‘๐‘ข๐‘Ÿ๐‘ก๐‘ข๐‘Ÿ๐‘–๐‘›๐‘” ๐ถ๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘š๐‘ข๐‘›๐‘–๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘’๐‘ ."

This momentous occasion was graced by our Chief Guest, the Honorable Minister for the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, alongside esteemed dignitaries from our partner organizations, government institutions, and valued stakeholders.

The Management and Staff of the National Housing Development Corporation Limited (NHDCL) extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to ๐Œ๐ซ. ๐“๐ฌ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐๐ž๐ง๐ฃ๐จ๐ซon the completion of an illustrious 32 years of dedicated service to the Tsa-Wa-Sum and his superannuation from public service.

Throughout his long and distinguished career, Mr. Tshering Penjor has served the nation with commitment, professionalism and a deep sense of responsibility. His contribution to the housing sector and, in particular, to NHDCL, will remain an important part of the Corporationโ€™s history.
