VACANCY:PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We’re seeking a seasoned Property Development Manager to drive strategy and oversee our expanding property portfolio. Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Property Development

Manager will be responsible for:
• Lead development and ex*****on of organisational property strategy
• Identify and analyse innovative property development opportunities
• Prepare business cases and funding proposals, including feasibility studies
• Manage end-to-end development projects including budgeting, risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement
• Oversee documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain and optimise asset management plans for all properties
• Regularly liaise with the CEO, Board, funders, contractors and regulators
• Contribute to strategic planning, decision-making and capacity building
• Manage complex capital works and feasibility project.

Educational Background and Work Experience

• Degree in Real Estate /Architecture/Quantity Surveying/Construction/Property Law or its equivalent
• At least 6+ years’ relevant experience
• Additional certification/registration with Professional Bodies either covering Estate Agency, Property Management, Property Valuation. i.e. Real Estate Institute of Botswana, Real Estate Advisory Council

Position: Investment Analyst

Role Purpose: We are seeking a skilled Investment Analyst to provide comprehensive financial insights and strategic property investment recommendations. The ideal candidate will analyze potential investment outcomes, assess sustainability, and provide essential data to support informed decision-making in property investments.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct in-depth research and collaborate with the asset management team to develop strategies for maximizing property value and portfolio performance.
2. Stay informed about market developments, emerging investment products, and factors influencing financial markets.
3. Monitor financial publications, track market trends, identify investment opportunities and risks, and assess new investment products.
4. Analyze financial data from competitor companies (profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports) to determine competitive positioning and investor returns.
5. Monitor and assess the performance of existing property assets, preparing regular reports on key financial and market indicators.
6. Review the work of the Portfolio Manager for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, while also overseeing administrative functions within the portfolio department.
7. Conduct due diligence on companies and industries, ensuring compliance by analyzing financial statements and market data on potential property acquisitions.
8. Prepare advisory reports and make informed recommendations on investment opportunities and portfolio diversification strategies.
9. Perform continuous research to stay ahead of financial trends in the property market and identify potential risks and opportunities.
10. Compile research reports for use by the Portfolio Manager and clients, delivering valuable insights for investment decision-making.

Educational Background & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a relevant field.
• CFA, CAIA, FMVA, BIDA are an added advantage
• Minimum of three years of proven experience as a Property Manager or Investment Analyst in the property development industry.

Competencies & Skills

• Strong financial analytical and modelling skills, with proficiency in relevant financial tools and applications.
• Extensive knowledge of financial analysis tools, market trends, and investment strategies.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data effectively.
