🔴 IT HAPPENED!!!
Bank of Canada's interest rate jumped up .50 basis points on April 13th 2022. This is following a .25 basis points increase on March 2nd 2022. The last time a raise of .50 bases points happened at once was back in May of 2000. This could be costing you an extra $221.00/ month on a $560,000 mortgage.

Bank of Canada's Governor Tiff Macklem states that with high inflation, interest rates will continue to rise until we see the inflation rate “normalize”.

The Bank of Canada’s next interest rate decision will take place June 1, 2022 and it is certain the rate will continue to increase.
