🏥 New Health Care Facility coming to Airdrie!

The province announced the new facility yesterday in Airdrie. It’s expected to open in 2031, will be about 300,000 Square Feet, and will include a range of new services for Airdrie such as:

* Urgent care
* Primary care (family doctors)
* Day surgeries
* Birthing centre
* Women’s and children’s health services
* Mental health services
* Chronic disease management
* Dialysis
* Diagnostics and lab services

Though it’s not a full hospital, it’s a big step for our cities health care offerings!

🥪 Jimmy John’s has a new location coming next year on the east side of Airdrie.

The sandwich shop chain is opening their first store in Airdrie next year, after their first Calgary store just opened today.

It’s going to be connected to the Petro Canada in East Lake just off the highway by Ron Ebbeson Arena & Genesis Place.

We have a new Physiotherapy & Wellness clinic opening soon here in Airdrie.

Motioncrafters Physiotherapy & Wellness will be opening in September in the South point village shopping area.

They’ll initially have their physiotherapy services, but soon they’ll also have massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, naturopathy, and counselling as well.

🏊 Airdrie’s first outdoor pool is officially under construction.

Now this is the Wildflower community pool and amenities area, so it is private for the residents of Wildflower and their guests. Construction has just started and it’s expected to be opened up sometime in 2027.

What are your thoughts on this outdoor pool area? Are you currently in Wildflower and excited for it to be built? Or not a huge fan? Let me know in the comments!

The new studio is opening in the east lake area on September 14th!

This will be their second location, with their first having served Cochrane for 20 years now.

💪🏼 World Gym is coming to Airdrie!

The new work Gym location will share the old Peavy Mart building with Pickleplex at 2649 Main Street in the Sierra Springs Shopping area in Airdrie.

The building will be divided into 2 separate spaces. World gym is planning to open its doors sometime in early 2027 once everything gets built out.

⚾️ Fletcher Park in Airdrie is getting some new batting cages!

3 batting cages are currently being built at the park, and will provide much needed warm-up and training space for the growing Airdrie Little League.

This comes at no cost to the city, as Airdrie Little League is funding the entire project. The city will just provide ongoing maintenance as part of their typical Fletcher park maintenance.
