Ever since 1970, when the late Dr. Henderson arrived in the Ajax/Pickering area from Durham, England, he had the vision for an ‘Adult Lifestyle Community’. His first step in the right direction was, with the help of his wife Penny, discovering their beautiful house on Old Harwood Avenue. In 1992, he presented the Town of Ajax with a proposal, which consisted of an enclave of retirement suites surr

ounded by cozy bungalow-style homes, including his own home. Dr. Henderson’s legacy will live on through the building of the Adult Lifestyle Community, which has come to be known as ‘Henderson Place’ This project is dedicated by Greenvilla Honmes, in memory of the late Dr. Henderson, to whom we owe our thanks for his meaningful vision.
