1. Create a beautiful front-door moment

* Add a large fall wreath in eucalyptus, wheat, dried florals or muted leaves.
* Use two substantial planters on either side of the door.
* Fill them with mums, ornamental grasses, cabbage/kale or seasonal greenery.
* Add a simple welcome mat layered over a larger outdoor rug.

2. Keep the colour palette elevated
Instead of bright orange everywhere, try:

* Cream + white pumpkins
* Deep green
* Natural wood
* Burgundy/rust accents
* Black planters or lanterns

This works especially well with your warm white + wood + black design style.

3. Add symmetry
For a home being marketed for sale, symmetry photographs beautifully. Try:

Planter | Front door | Planter

Or, if there is room, add matching lanterns or pots along the walkway.

4. Make the walkway inviting

* Edge and clean the garden beds.
* Remove dead annuals and weeds.
* Add fresh mulch.
* Sweep/pressure wash the walkway.
* Use warm outdoor lighting along the path.

5. Add a little wood
A small wood bench, stool, planter boxes or a decorative wood accent can make the entrance feel warmer and more sophisticated.

6. Don’t forget the mailbox & house numbers
These are inexpensive but make a surprising difference. Clean or replace dated house numbers and make sure the mailbox is clean and straight.

🍁 For a house you’re selling

I’d avoid going too heavy on pumpkins and Halloween décor. Instead, aim for “fall magazine cover” rather than “fall decoration.”

Think:
clean landscaping + oversized planters + muted mums + natural pumpkins + beautiful wreath + warm lighting.
