Growing up, my mom owned a little local newspaper. My siblings and I would ride around the countryside with her while she sold advertisements, windows down, music blasting. What I remember most isn’t the business. It’s that she was there. She had the flexibility to volunteer at our school, come on class trips, and build a career.
When I became a mom, I knew that’s what I wanted for my own kids. Real estate had always intrigued me. I almost got licensed at 18, then again at 21, but I got cold feet both times and pursued other careers. Finally, with a newborn and a 2YO at home, I knew it was time. I spent every spare second studying.. during naps, late into the night, and in the quiet moments between caring for my babies, until I earned my real estate license. Five years later, I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
Because of the incredible clients, friends, family, and community who continue to trust and support me, I get to build a career I love while also being present for my kids.
