Did you know parts of Kanata were once filled with small creeks, streams, and wetlands that no longer exist today? 🏞️🌿

As development expanded over the years, many waterways were redirected, buried underground, or built over completely. While some systems like Shirley’s Brook and Watts Creek still remain, others have almost disappeared from view.

It is an interesting part of Kanata’s history that many residents do not even realize is still hidden beneath parts of the community today.
