As expected, the Bank of Canada raised the benchmark interest rate today. The big 5 banks have followed suite, and all of the big five's prime lending rates are now 3.45%.

Canada's biggest lenders have raised their prime lending rates on the same day that the country's central bank moved its benchmark interest rate 25 points higher.
