I love tackling design projects of all sizes!

Right now, I’m working on a mudroom, a laundry room, and a built-in entertainment wall.

Each project focuses on just one wall, so the design process is fairly quick, but these small investments are going to make a huge impact on my clients’ homes.

Great design rarely comes from just one material; it’s the mix of elements that really brings a space to life.

Wood adds warmth and texture, stone introduces a natural and timeless feel, wallpaper can bring personality and pattern, and metal accents add contrast and a bit of polish. When these materials are thoughtfully layered together, they create depth, balance, and visual interest. It’s the combination of natural textures, finishes, and subtle contrasts that transforms a room from simple to well-designed. The key is finding the right balance so each element complements the others rather than competing with them.

Design is all about the details and how they work together.

NYC is a feast for the eyes (and soul) - everywhere you look, historic buildings, towering skyscrapers, and sleek modern designs come together to create the city’s unique architectural magic.

The main branch of the New York Public Library Main Branch is one of the most beautiful public buildings in the United States. 📚

Completed in 1911 and designed by architects John Merven Carrère and Thomas Hastings, the building is a classic example of Beaux-Arts architecture, a style known for its symmetry, grandeur, and inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman design. When it opened in 1911, the library was the largest marble structure ever built in the United States and represented the idea that public knowledge should be housed in spaces as grand as government or religious institutions.

The iconic white marble building along Fifth Avenue is guarded by two famous lion statues, Patience and Fortitude, which have become symbols of strength and resilience in New York City.

Inside, the stunning Rose Main Reading Room stretches nearly two city blocks and features soaring ceilings, chandeliers, and painted sky murals, creating a space that feels more like a grand hall than a traditional library.

A reminder that architecture can turn even a place for books into a true landmark. 🤍

Every space in your home deserves love and your entryway is no exception! ✨

It’s the first thing you see when you walk in and the first impression guests get, so why not make it both functional and beautiful? A well-designed entryway can be a cozy landing spot for keys and shoes, a statement of your style, and a welcoming start to your home.

Even small touches like a stylish bench, clever storage, a pop of wallpaper, or a unique light fixture—can completely transform this often-overlooked space. Make your entryway a space you love coming home to every day 🤍

Planning a kitchen renovation?

Here’s my advice as someone who has completed both large and small-scale projects:

1. Start with a list of what works and what doesn’t. Write down everything you love—and everything you hate—about your current kitchen. This is one of the best starting points for designing a space that actually works for you.

2. Set a realistic budget. Two kitchens that look similar can vary significantly in cost depending on materials, finishes, and appliances. And while Pinterest is a great place for inspiration, keep in mind that many of the kitchens you see online are high-end designs with very large budgets.

3. Stay true to your personal style. Trends come and go much faster than they used to. Try to make design choices you’ll still love 15+ years from now, rather than choosing something just because it’s currently popular.

Banquette seating can be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional.

Not only does it create a cozy, built-in look that elevates the design of a kitchen or dining space, but it also makes great use of space, especially in smaller areas where a traditional dining set might feel bulky.

Banquettes can provide extra seating, maximize corners that might otherwise go unused, and often include hidden storage under the benches. Plus, they naturally create a comfortable gathering spot where family and friends can linger a little longer over meals and conversations.

Style and practicality is a great pair in the design world!

Are you superstitious? Friday the 13th is here! 👀

I don’t usually pay much attention to superstitions, but they play a big role in many cultures and can even influence what people choose to buy, including real estate.

In some cultures, certain numbers are considered lucky or unlucky, which can impact property choices. For example, the number 4 is sometimes avoided in some cultures because it sounds similar to the word for “death,” while the number 8 is often seen as lucky and associated with prosperity. In other cultures, homes facing certain directions or located near specific features may be preferred or avoided.

It’s a great reminder that real estate isn’t just about location and price - it’s also about personal beliefs, traditions, and what makes a place feel right for someone.

Would you ever avoided doing something because of your own superstitions? ✨

Spring has sprung 🌸🌼 or atleast it feels that way today!

What does spring mean for the real estate market?
Experts say we may see:
✔ More homes for sale
✔ Buyers slowly returning
✔ Stable prices with moderate growth

A healthier, more balanced market could mean more opportunity on both sides of the deal.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling this year, now is a great time to start planning.
