🌸 Spring is here! The time to enjoy your outdoor space is almost here, but do you know the rules?

Balconies are often exclusive-use common elements, meaning they belong to the condo corporation but are designated for your private use. Check your declaration to confirm.

📖 Schedule C lists what is part of your unit—everything else is a common element.
📖 Schedule F typically outlines exclusive-use common elements, like balconies and patios.

This means:
-You’re typically responsible for keeping your balcony clean and well-maintained, unless your declaration or rules say otherwise.
- Condo rules may limit furniture, BBQs, or decor.

🌿Check your condo’s rules before setting up your perfect spring space! Learn more in our Owners' Guide https://bit.ly/3ZjacHV

Barrie’s new waste collection system starts today (Sept. 8 )! Set out your new carts on your regular collection day by 7am, according to your collection schedule. Residential recycling and yard waste collection remain unchanged. Only organics and garbage in City-provided carts will be collected. If your garbage cart is full, you may place additional bags at the curb for collection as long as they have a garbage bag tag attached. We appreciate your patience as collection crews adjust to the new process. Read today's media release for important reminders when setting carts at the curb: https://www.barrie.ca/government/news-notices/media-releases/reminder-barries-new-waste-collection-system-starts-today

Barrie is included in special weather statement from Environment Canada that identifies a significant freezing rain event arriving late Friday and lasting through to Monday.

The Barrie Police Service is encouraging the public to refrain from any unnecessary travel and to adhere to weather updates.

Today looks like the best day to head out and do what you may have had been planning to do on the weekend.

🛠️ Do you need something repaired in your condo unit? Repair responsibility depends on what is in your governing documents.

🏢 Condo corporations generally handle common elements and the portion of your unit they deem to be “standard”. This usually includes things like doors and walls. Owners are responsible for regular wear-and-tear and non-standard elements, which generally includes things like flooring. Each condo is different! Make sure to check your governing documents.

It is always refreshing to see friendly updates from our vendors....

From Clarkson Property Services

Good morning

A squall formed off Georgian Bay yesterday morning from the strong north winds and remained west of our area until mid afternoon, when the winds switched to northwest, causing this squall to move over the western and southern parts of our area. The forecasts had projected the squall in or close to our area until this morning sometime when it is forecasted to shrink slightly and retreat west of Angus. We may see it move back towards our area later this afternoon for a few hours. Depending on where you are situated you could have anywhere from 3-8 cm of fluffy snow. The truck started clearing at 4 AM.

Stay warm out there….it’s a brisk -18֯C this morning without any wind chill.
