A lot of buyers assume they need to be looking at much higher price points, but the truth is it really depends on the type of property, your down payment, and what monthly payment feels comfortable for you.

Using this home as an example, a buyer putting 10% down ($57,500) would be looking at a mortgage amount of about $517,500 before mortgage insurance, with an estimated monthly payment in the ballpark of $2,900–$3,300/month, depending on the full scenario.
