Got to love the last comment!

This morning, Tracy and I decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at Evviva in Barrie, a place known for its breakfast, and wow—those Eggs Benedict were out of this world! As we savored every bite, a young woman struck up a conversation, and before I knew it, we were deep in a discussion about real estate—a topic that instantly pulls me in.

She told us she’d been in real estate for three years and was feeling the pressure lately, frustrated by the market. I listened carefully, asking her about her challenges, and if I could help. She shrugged it off, blaming her brokerage and the market and saying it would change eventually. I saw an opportunity to share some wisdom. I told her this market was actually what I considered normal, especially after the wild last few years.

I mentioned my own journey—five years with EXP after leaving a brokerage where I’d spent 17 years. She quickly dismissed EXP, mispronouncing it as "ICP" and complaining that it was too expensive and virtual. I listened patiently before explaining how, despite being virtual, we’re incredibly connected globally. I emphasized the collaboration we thrive on, even with agents outside of EXP.

Despite her frustrations, she wasn’t interested in training or collaboration. She was content where she was. As we wrapped up the conversation, she left me with a smile and a funny line: “I hope you come back to the restaurant, and I get to serve you again.”
