We love this area of the province, Prince Edward County and the Loyalist Parkway area! The diversity of things to do, explore and experience seem never ending.
We want to share our top things to do while visiting our little neck of the woods.
1. Kayaking - we provide 2 here at 33 Short Term Rental and there is no shortage of amazing views and shoreline right for our backyard.
2. Hiking and Exploring - through out the County there is miles and miles of exploring to be had. Our favorite is Prince Edward Bird Conservatory, but Point Petre is close behind. Along with Little Bluff, North Beach Provincial Park and of course Sand Banks. There is so much more but you would need weeks to get it all done.
3. Live music - we love getting out and listening to live music. There is no shortage of great talent in this area. Acoustic Grill, Waring House, Base 31, The Hayloft Dancehall or Coaches Pub and Grillhouse and never a disappointment.
4. Eating - there are just too many spots to enjoy in the County and along the Parkway. We have eaten at what seems like most spots and have never had a bad meal or service. Favorites though include Bocado, Inn on The Lake on the Mountain, Harrys Charbroild, Vic’s, Lighthouse Restaurant, Acoustic Grill, Blue Sail and just so many more.
5. Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries - again too many to go through but for sure KINSIP is my favorite as I love the chickens.
6. Shopping - like most small waterside towns The County has no shortage of interesting and orginal shopping. It could take days to just explore all the small towns have to offer.
7. Fishing - this part of the province is home to world class fishing. Picton offers some incredible fishing tours or bring your own boat and enjoy Adolphus Reach as you head to the open waters of Lake Ontario.
8. Lake side evening cocktails- after a day of enjoyment from whatever you have been doing, 33 Short Term rental has a cosy Lake side Lounge to sit right beside the water and enjoy all nature has to offer up. Waterfowl, otters, fish jumping, and a cool breeze.
9. Sunrises - They are just simply breathtaking if you can wake up on time. Coffee of the deck and you feel the sun warm you up. It’s a soothing way to start the day.
10. Relaxing - The most important thing you can do it just relax. 1.5 acres to enjoy, replenish and rejuvenate from your busy lives. We provide everthing you need. Linen, wifi, spices, utensils, dishes, paper good etc. Just grab your groceries and wine and you are set for your stay.
