Five months ago, I got my real estate licence and stepped into a business where everyone starts with the same thing: no clients, no sales, and no experience.
This week, I had the privilege of representing buyers in the purchase of a $4.3 million list-price waterfront home on Bowen Island—the sixth-highest sale in the island’s history and the highest sale since August 2021.
The sale itself is exciting, but what means the most to me is what it represents.
It represents a mentor who invested her time and energy into a brand-new agent. Mary Lynn , thank you for your guidance, patience, and for showing me what this business looks like when it’s done properly.
It represents clients who took a chance on me. Thank you for your trust. Helping you find and secure this home was something I’ll never forget.
It represents the professionalism and collaboration that helped bring this deal together. A sincere thank you to the listing agents, Frances Frost and Jade Weismiller , for their hard work and for helping make this transaction a positive experience for everyone involved.
It represents the support of great people around me. Thank you to Bayley , everyone at Macdonald Realty , my family, and my friends for believing in me, encouraging me, and helping me through the inevitable ups and downs that come with starting something new.
Five months in, I still feel like I’m just getting started. But moments like this remind me why I took the leap in the first place—and how fortunate I am to have so many amazing people in my corner.
Feeling very grateful today.
