The May market numbers are in for Durham, and we’re continuing to see many of the same trends that have shaped the past few months. Sales remain lower than last year, and prices have continued to soften in several areas.

One noteworthy shift this month is that new listings were also down compared to last May. That’s worth watching, because fewer new listings could help bring some balance back to the market if buyer activity picks up in the months ahead.
