Ontario will remove the full 13% HST on newly built homes
This includes:
8% provincial portion
5% federal portion (through partnership)
Goal: make new homes cheaper + boost construction

Homes under $1M
π 100% of 13% HST removed
π Savings up to $130,000
$1M β $1.5M
π Max $130,000 rebate (flat cap)
$1.5M β $1.85M
π Gradually reduced rebate
Above $1.85M
π Only old rebate (~$24,000) applies

Start date: April 1, 2026
End date: March 31, 2027
Only valid for purchase agreements signed during this 1-year window

βοΈ Must be:
Newly built home OR substantially renovated
Used as a home or rental property
