4 SIMPLE YOGA POSTURES FOR A STRONG FOUNDATION (Read captions) š§š½āāļøāØļø
Warrior 1 - Virabhadrasana 1
How-to:
1. Step your right foot back
2. Turn the heel down at a 45-degree angle
3. Bend your front knee into a lunge, and reach your arms straight overhead
4. Breathe and repeat on the other side
Warrior 2- Virabhadrasana 2
How-to:
1. Stand tall on your mat, then step or jump your feet wide apart (about 3.5 to 4 feet).
2. Turn your front foot out 90 degrees to face the front of the mat. Turn your back foot slightly inward (about 45 to 90 degrees). Align your front heel so it intersects the arch of your back foot.
3. Raise your arms straight out to the sides at shoulder height, parallel to the floor, with your palms facing down. Relax your shoulders away from your ears.
4. Exhale and bend your front knee until it stacks directly over your front ankle. Aim to get your front thigh parallel to the floor. Keep the back leg strong and straight.

Extended side angle- Utthita Parsvakonasana
How-to:
1. From Warrior II, reach your left hand forward and place your palm inside of your left foot
2. Use the traction between your left shoulder and left knee to open your chest toward the ceiling.
3. Lift your right arm and your gaze toward the ceiling.
4. Keep your left knee over your right ankle throughout.
5. Lower your left arm over your left ear if you want.
6. Breathe and repeat on other side
Tree pose- Vrakshasana
How-to:
1. Stand tall, shift your weight onto one foot.
2. Move your weight into your left foot. Engage the muscles in your left leg to keep it strong and straight.
3. Bend your right knee and turn it out to the side. Place the sole of your right foot against your left inner thigh, your calf, or your ankle as a kickstand.
4. Never place your foot directly against the side of your knee joint.
5. Pick a single, unmoving point straight ahead of you to look at. This steady gaze helps you keep your balance.
6. Bring your palms together in a prayer position at the center of your chest.
7. If you feel steady, slowly raise your arms overhead, keeping your palms tog
