📊 GTA MARKET UPDATE — APRIL 2026

The spring market is showing signs of shifting.

According to the latest TRREB report:

✔️ Home sales increased 7% year-over-year

✔️ New listings dropped 9.3%

✔️ Average GTA home price sits at $1,051,969

✔️ Prices are still down 4.9% compared to April 2025

What does this mean? 👇

Buyers are slowly coming back into the market as affordability improves, but inventory is tightening in many areas. That combination could create more competition heading into late spring and summer.

For buyers:

➡️ There’s still negotiating power in many segments.

➡️ More choice than we saw during peak markets.

➡️ Opportunity exists before conditions tighten further.

For sellers:

➡️ Pricing strategy matters more than ever.
