Latest TRREB data

The latest market data from the month of May 2026 shows the market changing significantly from last year. Sales have gone up by 6.3% year over year and new listings have gone down by -18.9% for all TRREB areas. Average price has gone down by -4.6% YOY from $1,120,716 in May 2025 to $1,069,700 in May 2026.

The Region of Peel is sitting at 5.2 months of inventory in May 2026 which has dropped from 5.4 months of inventory in April 2026. This is showing a trend of the market moving towards a balanced market. Future data from this year will be needed to decide which way the market may go in the coming year.

Brampton is sitting at 5.4 months of inventory according to TRREB’s data from the month of April 2026. This means that the market is leaning in the favour of the buyer while still being in a balanced market. The threshold for a balanced market is anywhere between 4-6 months of inventory.

Last year in April the months of inventory was 4.3 months. Buyers currently have more advantage in the market than the same time last year.
