It was a cold morning, but we were so grateful to be joined by so many as we raised the BRAVA flag at Harmony Square to celebrate the beginning of National Volunteer Week! Thank you to the City of Brantford and our incredible Town Crier (also a volunteer) for their support.

National Volunteer Week (April 19-25, 2026) celebrates the ways in which people in Canada have ignited volunteerism in their communities, aligning with Ignite Volunteerism, deepening our collective impact. Ignite Volunteerism is a year-long effort to elevate the role of civic participation, rebuild volunteer infrastructure, and celebrate volunteer stories. Each of our BRAVA members will be celebrating and acknowledging their volunteers in different ways throughout the week, month, and all year long!

We're not done yet! We welcome you to join us in the County of Brant as we raise the BRAVA flag at Council Chambers at 10AM on April 22nd. Looking forward to seeing you there.
